GARBAGE PICKUP INFORMATION

Please follow these steps for garbage pickup:
  • Place your cart out for collection no earlier that Wednesday afternoon, no later than 6:00 am Thursday morning except during holiday weeks when pickup will be on Friday. Check with Wate Management about selected holidays, LVHA has not received a listing from them as in past years.
  • Position your cart as directed on the lid within three feet of the road.
  • Do not fill boxes with garbage or trash. (Flattened boxes can be recycled if they do not exceed 3 feet on a side.)
  • Please do your part to reduce roadside litter by bagging your material. Loose material can blow out or off of the collection vehicle and onto the roadway.
  • Styrofoam packing should be bagged with as much air removed from the bag as possible to prevent bursting the bag during compaction. Contact the Recycling Coordinator at 414-9346 for disposal options.
  • Remove your cart from the front of your house as soon as possible after it is emptied.
  • If your garbage is not picked up on the scheduled day, call Waste Management at 574-3000.
